Squirrel for Mac

Squirrel runs entirely on your device. It does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Your files never leave your computer. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no telemetry of any kind.

Squirrel uses Apple's standard UserDefaults system to store your preferences locally. This data stays on your Mac and is never accessed by Ochre.

Contact and support forms

When you contact us or submit a support request, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for marketing.

Submissions are stored on our web hosting server (DreamHost, United States) and retained for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time by emailing hello@getochre.app.

Email notifications

If you signed up for launch notifications, we store your email address to let you know when new Ochre apps become available. That's all it's used for. To be removed, email hello@getochre.app and we'll delete your address promptly.

Analytics and tracking

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising trackers, or any third-party data collection on this website. No cookies are set except those required for form functionality.

Hosting and Infrastructure

getochre.app is hosted on DreamHost shared hosting (Los Angeles, California, United States). Contact form submissions and support requests are stored as encrypted flat files on this server. We do not use third-party CRM, marketing, or analytics platforms.

Children's Privacy

Ochre's products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact us at hello@getochre.app and we will delete it immediately.

California Residents — CCPA Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we have collected about you
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell it)
• Non-discrimination for exercising these rights

To make a request, email hello@getochre.app. We will respond within 45 days.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We will not retroactively change how we handle data already collected without notice.
