Prowl is Live!!

About a year and a half ago I built a version of Prowl. It sucked.

It was my first real attempt at vibe coding, before I knew what that process actually required. The idea was right, a location scouting app that replaces the camera roll and the fading memory. The execution wasn't there yet. I shelved it.

Since then I've shipped Squirrel, Scaffold, and PunchList, and learned something on each one that the last one hadn't taught me. When I circled back to Prowl, I wasn't the same builder who'd abandoned it.

Prowl is live on the App Store now, built right this time.

It's a real structured library of every location you've scouted, tied to a map, searchable, built around how scouting actually works in the field. Tap to drop a pin at your GPS position. Save a location with nothing but a name and finish it later at a desk. Let one property hold multiple distinct spots instead of forcing everything into one entry.

The part I'm proudest of is Presentation Mode. A curated, branded, client-facing view that's structurally separate from your working notes, so private scouting details never end up in front of a client by accident. It exports to a branded PDF that matches exactly what you'd show live.

Sometimes the first version needs to be bad so you know what you're actually building toward.
