Introducing Scaffold
I've set up hundreds of projects by hand. I've also set up hundreds of them slightly wrong.
Wrong folder name. Wrong structure. The missing Invoice folder I only notice when I'm trying to bill, three weeks after the shoot.
The setup ritual is always the same: open Finder, create the folder structure from memory, open Final Cut, configure the project, place it in the right location. Every time. For every client. From memory. Hoping this time everything lands in the right place.
That's not creative work. It's cognitive overhead that sits between you and the project you actually came to do.
Today I'm introducing Scaffold, the second app from Ochre Software.
Scaffold learns how you work and automates your project setup completely. Build a template once: your folder structure, your naming conventions, your Finder tag colors, your starter files. Every new project after that takes ten seconds. Pick the template, name the project, click Create. Scaffold builds everything on disk, names it correctly, and opens Finder to the result.
It has a client database that remembers which template you use for each client. Token-based naming that turns {DATE}-{CLIENT}-{PROJECT} into the right folder name automatically. Starter files that travel with the template and land where you need them. A Sync Folders feature that updates existing projects when you change a template, additively, never destructively.
$9.99 one time. No subscription. No account. Your files, your machine.
Scaffold is in App Store NOW!!
